A Returnee Joins the Team
Port of Kokkola team is gaining another expert as Patrik Knutar has been appointed as our new Technical Manager. Patrik is a civil engineer and has previously worked at the Port of Kokkola as a maintenance supervisor from 2011 to 2016. Since then, he has served as Technical Director for the municipalities of Kaustinen and Veteli, as well as Managing Director of Kokkolan Autoilijat and Oy Esari Ab.
“The sea called me back. I’ve always liked the port as a working environment and I consider myself more of a construction professional. I also appreciate the long-term strategy with which the Port of Kokkola is developing the entire port complex. The port area and other infrastructure are in such good condition that we can offer excellent facilities to our customers.”
“As a maintenance supervisor, I worked closely with the current Technical Manager, Tapio Lampinen. Thanks to that, I have a pretty good understanding of what the upcoming role entails,” says Patrik.
He will join the Port team in the early part of next year. Tapio Lampinen will retire in August next year after a long and distinguished career.
